Blue Jays sign Dasan Brown
According to Sportsnet’s Shi Davidi, the Blue Jays have signed Oakville, Ont. native Dasan Brown, who was the team’s third-round pick in this year’s draft, for $800,000. Brown, 17, was selected out of Abbey Park High School in Oakville and has been lauded by draft evaluators for his athleticism and speed.
Daniel Hudson stellar as of late
Blue Jays reliever Daniel Hudson, who signed a one-year, $3 million contract with the team in March, has been fantastic out of the bullpen over his last 11 appearances. Since May 26, Hudson, 32, has allowed just a single earned run in 13.1 innings, striking out 17 and walking six.

Blue Jays confirm Guerrero Jr. in Home Run Derby
After a report from Sportsnet’s Hazel Mae on June 21, the Blue Jays confirmed on Twitter that Vladimir Guerrero Jr. will be participating in this year’s Home Run Derby in Cleveland. It was later confirmed that Blue Jays major league coach John Schneider, who managed Guerrero Jr. at Double-A New Hampshire, will be pitching to him at the derby.
