Could the Blue Jays be in on Allen?
Recently released RHP Cody Allen is drawing interest from “no less than 11 clubs”, per Jon Heyman of MLB Network. With the Blue Jays starved of competent arms, could they be among those teams? Despite a rocky start with the Angels (6.26 ERA, 8.34 FIP, 23.0 IP, 29 SO, 20 BB, 0-2), Allen, 30, is 10th among active players in saves.
Blue Jays Agree to Terms with Lebron, Caracci, Santiago
According to the team’s official transactions page, the Blue Jays have agreed to terms with 2019 draft picks RHP Parker Caracci (21st round, 627th overall), RHP Jackxarel Lebron (16th round, 477th overall), and SS Glenn Santiago (10th round, 297th overall). Lebron and Caracci have been assigned to the Gulf Coast League Blue Jays, while Santiago has been assigned to the team’s Dominican Summer League affiliate.
