Fisher Cats release Heidt

According to the official transactions page of the Double-A Eastern League, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats have released SS Gunnar Heidt.

Heidt, 26, was drafted by the Blue Jays in the 13th round of the 2014 MLB draft and, most recently, slashed .176/.263/.294 in 14 games with the Fisher Cats.

GCL Blue Jays release De Los Santos

The Gulf Coast League (GCL) Blue Jays have released RHP Alvery De Los Santos, the GCL transactions page indicates.

De Los Santos, 19, signed with the Blue Jays as an international free agent on August 22, 2016, and has since tossed 41.2 innings with the GCL club, boasting an ERA of 4.10 in seven starts, striking out 24 and walking eight.

Bluefield releases Guerrero, Theran

The Rookie-level Bluefield Blue Jays have released 3B Hector Guerrero and 2B Jose Theran, per the Appalachian League transactions page. Guerrero, 21, appeared in eight games last season for Bluefield while Theran, 20, appeared in 35, slashing .260/.317/.396.

Jesus Tinoco makes MLB debut for COL

RHP Jesus Tinoco, who the Blue Jays traded to the Colorado Rockies in the Troy Tulowitzki deal, made his major-league debut Friday, striking out two and tossing a scoreless inning. Tinoco, 24, pitched to an ERA of 5.04 in 19 games with Triple-A Albuquerque prior to being called up.

DSL Blue Jays take shape

The Dominican Summer League (DSL) began playing games on June 1st, and the DSL Blue Jays roster is taking shape. According to the DSL transactions page, the following players have been assigned to the team: C Gary David, 2B Adrian Montero, 2B Leonel Callez, RHP Bejardi Meza, RHP Francis Mercedes, LHP Yaifer Perdomo, RHP Joneivy Polonia, RHP Raudy Sanchez, and others.
