Blue Jays: Marcus Stroman appeals for Vladdy and Bo to be on team now
Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Marcus Stroman never shies away from the spotlight and yesterday was no different as the “Stro-Show” went on record to endorse that both Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette should be on the team now contributing and that he would love for them to be playing behind him.
Marcus Stroman never got into specifics on where the two uber prospects would play on the current team but did call them “Legends you’ve never seen.” To say that Stroman has been impressed this spring with the duo would be a huge understatement.
Both Bo Bichette and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. were impressive versus the Canadian Junior Team in yesterdays preseason play. Even Dwight Smith Jr. who was interviewed mid-game during the telecast anointed both Bo and Vladdy as the players who have impressed him the most this spring in Dunedin.
The Blue Jays will take their time with both prospects no matter how much lobbying they received from the players and fans respectively. They are both tabbed to begin the 2018 campaign in Double-A New Hampshire and see what transpires from there.

If they mimic the video game numbers they produced last season they could force the Jays hand for a major league promotion sooner than later.
Speaking of Stroman he also successfully pitched two innings in the contest and the hurler attempts to overcome shoulder inflammation. He forecasted that he will be ready for the fourth game of the Blue Jays opening series versus the New York Yankees in Toronto.
Stroman also spoke on the experience of being around Braden Halladay and what his father has meant to his pitching style. The Doc was no doubt smiling down on his young prodigy after Braden tossed a scoreless 8th inning versus his former team. Halladay even retired Bichette inducing a weak ground ball to the shortstop on a curveball to conclude his inning of work.

Hopefully, the Jays will monitor the progress of Braden in the coming months and give some serious thought to drafting the son of the former great Jays pitcher. Would make a great feel-good story and a great chapter in the Halladay chronicles.
