Blue Jays’ John Gibbons ranked last in managers poll

NBC Sports recently ranked the Most Handsome Managers in Baseball and Toronto Blue Jays manager John Gibbons did not rank very favourably on this ridiculous list.

John Gibbons is in his second stint at the helm of the Blue Jays and although he guided his club to back to back playoff appearances the 55-year old manager ranked dead last among the most handsome managers in the MLB according to Craig Calcaterra of NBC Sports.

Poor Gibby couldn’t even finish ahead of Buck Showalter or Clint Hurdle according to Calcaterra. Last year’s top choice Brad Ausmus was unseated in the poll due to his current unemployment status. This opened the door for the Phillies new manager to take the number one seed in the poll, it probably doesn’t hurt that Gabe Kapler is a fitness buff and in better shape than most current players.

Luckily our fierce leader will trudge on and rise from the handsome poll basement to hopefully lead the Blue Jays to playoff grandeur in 2017. Regardless, I think Gibby got squeezed a little in this poll, like 30th, really, come on. Gibby has to be middle of the pack. Doesn’t he?
