Your Blue Jays Morning Brew for Thursday, December 07th features updates on Aaron Sanchez, Troy Tulowitzki, Raffy Lopez and much more.

Sanchez To Resume Throwing

General Manager Ross Atkins confirmed that pitcher Aaron Sanchez will resume throwing later this week and the hurler attempts to recover from nagging blister issues that derailed his entire 2017 campaign.

Sanchez nearly had just as many DL stints as he did starts in 2017 as the 25-year old only toed the rubber on 8 occasions last season. All signs point to Sanchez being ready for the start of the regular season at this stage of the game.

Tulo On Track For January

Atkins also addressed the Troy Tulowitzki injury timetable while addressing the media at a recent luncheon. Tulowitzki is on track to be fully recovered from ligament damage in his right ankle by January.

If Tulo can remain setback-free from here on out, he will be manning the shortstop position for the Blue Jays on Opening Day.

Lopez Signs With San Diego

Backup catcher Raffy Lopez inked a deal with the San Diego Padres according to the catchers Twitter feed. The 30-year old hit .222 with 4 home runs in 24 games for the Jays last season.
