Blue Jays release 2018 promotions and events schedule

The Toronto Blue Jays released their promotions and events schedule for the 2018 season and it even features a Marcus Stroman shimmy wobble bobble giveaway at the beginning of June.

The promotional team went above and beyond the call of duty, this season as the Blue Jays released their upcoming giveaways. Here are some of the important dates to mark on your calendar for the upcoming campaign if you’re into Blue Jays swag.

The Blue Jays kick-off the festivities with the Honda Opening Weekend where the Jays will be offering a Honda t-shirt, magnet schedule and a Justin Smoak bobblehead over the course of the opening weekend in March.

April:

On April 18th the Jays will turn back the clock with a Back-To-Back World Series sweatshirt giveaway for all the loyal fans of yesteryear.

The April swag doesn’t stop there with a TD “Bringer of Rain” t-shirt giveaway on April 26th and a Blue Jays plaid raglan handout two days later on the 28th.

May:

On May 10th the Thursday Night in the Six theme continues as fans will receive a t-shirt presented by TD.

May 13th will be a favourite for the kiddies as there will be a Kevin Pillar caped replica jersey giveaway. It doesn’t get any better than a “Superman” jersey with a cape folks.

The rest of the month features another t-shirt promotion along with a towel and sunglasses giveaway closing out the month.

June:

June 06th will be the promotion of all promotions when fans will be awarded a Marcus Stroman shimmy wobble bobble. I have no idea exactly what it means but it sounds epic. Anytime you incorporate Stroman and a shimmy, I am all in.

The rest of the month will see fans receive a Pride hat giveaway and reusable MLB Network bag.

July:

Canada Day once again sees a patriotic hat being issued to the first through the gates on July 01st.

The following day fans will take home a J.A. Happ bobblehead with a bucket hat promotion coming on the 06th to round out the promotions for the month.

August:

August wins the award for best overall swag in any given month with three giveaways scheduled.

The first kicks off on August 08th where fans will go home with an Aaron Sanchez replica jersey on their backs.

The final bobblehead of the season will be handed out on August 11th as the flashback theme is revisited. This bobblehead trio will feature Roberto Alomar, Paul Molitor and John Olerud.

Rounding out the third and final promotion for the month of August will be a replica Blue Hays batting helmet giveaway on August 25th.

September:

The final month of the season will see a Sonnet Home, Auto Insurance Star Wars giveaway with fans being issued an R2-D2 toque. Jedi junkies will be out in full force.

Kids will have no excuse for sleeping in during the upcoming school year thanks to the Buck Martinez alarm clock on September 09th.

September 22nd will mark the final giveaway aside from the Blue Jays being crowned World Series champions. Fans will take home convertible mittens presented by Honda on the last promotion of the 2018 season.
