Blue Jays MiLB Recap: Teoscar Hernandez Shines
Jays Journal takes its daily look into the Toronto Blue Jays minor league system, today looking at the AAA-A levels. The teams played a combined four games on Sunday, going an upsetting 1-3. The affiliates are back in action on Monday, where they will look to improve on their play from Sunday.
AAA: Buffalo Bisons vs. Toledo Mud Hens (Tigers) – 10-4 win
After taking the first two games of their series with the Toledo Mud Hens, the Buffalo Bisons were looking for the series sweep with a win in game three. The Bisons came out hot from the get-go, putting up seven runs in the second inning and never looked back. The final score ended up being 10-4 in favour of the Buffalo, improving their season record to 54-67. The Bisons are off on Monday, but back in action on Tuesday when they begin a series with the Indianapolis Indians. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. EST.

AA: New Hampshire Fisher Cats vs. Erie SeaWolves (Tigers) – 14-9 loss
After dropping the first two games of their series with the Erie SeaWolves, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats were looking to avoid the sweep by picking up a win in game three. New Hampshire got off to an early lead, scoring five runs in the first inning. However that did not hold up, as the Fisher Cats imploded, leading them to a 14-9 defeat. With the loss today, the Fisher Cats now have an abysmal season record of 47-72. The Fisher Cats will be off Monday, but will look to get back into the win column when they begin a series with the Hartford Yard Goats on Tuesday. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. EST.

Unfortunately the Blue Jays took too long to get their offense going, and the pitching wasn’t so hot, leading them to a 11-7 loss. The team is back in action on Monday when they begin a series with the Palm Beach Cardinals. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. EST.
