Shapiro Not Looking For Reinforcements Yet
Shi Davidi of Sportsnet spoke with Blue Jays General Manager Mark Shapiro prior to yesterday’s win. Shapiro reiterated that he was not seeking outside reinforcements in light of the Jays lackluster start to the season. Check out the full article HERE:
“It’s not a time you get external help,” said Shapiro. “Less than 10 games in, this is not the time to start looking at external help. There may be a time and a place when you start to think about that, but you’re not going to replace five hitters.We need to remember why we believe in these guys, remember their track records, recognize that they are extremely competitive and that they are high-character guys. They care, they’re working hard and continue to believe that it will turn, as much as it doesn’t feel like that at any given moment, that’s the cruelty of baseball. It’s not a game for weak players or weak people. It tests your toughness all the time.”

Josh Donaldson officially landed on the disabled list after re-aggravating his calf muscle injury that has plagued him for most of the spring. There is no timetable for the slugger’s return as of yet, however, he is eligible to be activated after 10-days.

Vladdy Jr went yard for the first time as a Lansing Lugnut, the slugger went oppo for his first round tripper of the season. It’s a beautiful thing Blue Jays fans.
Marco Estrada Destined To Be A Blue Jay
A childhood photo of Estrada has surfaced where the youngster is repping Blue Jays gear presumably for a Little League team he was playing for back in the day. Even as a youngster Marco rocked the blue with pride.
