Eugene Emeralds (25-10) – 8 (11 innings)
Starting in right field, 2016 draft pick Joshua Palacios went 2-for-5 with a double and a walk. Behind him, second-rounder J.B. Woodman was also 2-for-5 and picked up a walk. Bryan Lizardo, going 3-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored, was just a home run shy of the cycle. Deiferson Barreto and Yeltsin Gudino both drove in a pair.
First round pick T.J. Zeuch looked very good, throwing 27 of 39 pitches for strikes in three scoreless innings while striking out three and allowing just two hits. Geno Encina matched Zeuch with three scoreless frames of his own to get Vancouver through six.
