Chris Colabello debuted with a bang for the Bisons, hitting a solo home run in the first inning. He finished the day 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI. Ryan Goins started at second base, driving in three on a 2-for-5 night. Darrell Ceciliani was 3-for-3 with a walk while Alexi Casilla recorded three hits and three runs.
Drew Hutchison‘s start was cut short by a thumb blister, but in two and two-thirds innings he allowed six runs on eight hits, including three home runs. Ben Rowen gave the Bisons 3.2 innings of valuable one-run relief before Pat Venditte surrendered four runs in the final inning and two-thirds.

Reading Fightin Phils (66-29) – 9
Rowdy Tellez tripled and scored twice in a 2-for-2 day but left the game after a collision at first base. Earlier today, Baseball Prospectus Toronto tweeted out that nothing is broken, but Tellez will undergo an MRI. Dwight Smith Jr. also added a triple, going 3-for-5.
Luis Santos had a rough outing, allowing seven runs on nine hits (2 HR) over three and a third innings. Brady Dragmire followed with one and two-thirds scoreless before John Anderson (0.1 IP, 2 ER), Wil Browning (1.2 IP), and Murphy Smith (2.0 IP) handled the back end.

Dunedin managed to squeeze four runs out of just six hits with Dickie Joe Thon‘s solo home run in the second inning being their big splash. Anthony Alford was 1-for-2 with a walk and two stolen bases, bringing him to 11 on the season. Richard Urena went 1-for-3 with an RBI and a walk, bringing his season average to .299.
Chris Rowley had an excellent start, allowing just one unearned run over seven innings of work while walking three and striking out two. Jose Fernandez walked three in his inning and two-thirds but kept the Stone Crabs scoreless. Colton Turner recorded the final out for his sixth save of the season.
Lansing Lugnuts (51-44) – 1
Burlington Bees (45-50) – 2
A pitcher’s duel saw the teams combine for just nine hits. Lansing’s only offence came off the bat of catcher Justin Atkinson, who went 2-for-3 with the lone RBI.
Jon Harris left after five and two-thirds innings with an injury, but in his time on the mound limited the Bees to just one earned run on four hits, striking out three. Left-hander Kirby Snead pitched one and a third of scoreless relief before Andrew Case struck out a pair in the eighth.
Vancouver Canadians (15-16) – 3
Spokane Indians (15-16) – 9
Lance Jones led the way out of the leadoff spot, going 3-for-5 with a triple and an RBI. Second-baseman Cavan Biggio singled twice in three at-bats with a walk while Bryan Lizardo scored twice in a 2-for-4 day.
Patrick Murphy got the start, allowing three earned runs on seven hits in four innings of work. He struck out six and walked three. Grayson Huffman was first on in relief, but found trouble and allowed four runs on five hits in just one and a third. Gabe Noyalis (1.1 IP, 1 ER, 2 K) and Stuart Holmes (1.0 IP, 1 ER) finished it off.

Bluefield Blue Jays (10-13) – 3
Greeneville Astros (14-11) – 4
Kalik May went 2-for-4 for Bluefield, tripling and driving in a pair. Reggie Pruitt scored in a 2-for-3 day hitting second, while Nash Knight moved his average to a whopping .435 by going 3-for-4 with an RBI and run scored. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. singled in four at-bats.
Kyle Weatherly pitched five shutout innings, allowing just one hit but walking five. Jose Espada handled the remaining three and two-thirds, picking up the loss and allowing three runs on five hits.
