The Blue Jays right-hander was suspended in 2015 after testing positive for an amphetamine

Davidi adds that Hollon’s first suspension last August came after a positive test for an amphetamine. Hollon has yet to return from his first suspension at the time of this second positive test. (Note: drugs of abuse differ from performance enhancing drugs).
A second-round pick of the Blue Jays in 2013, the 6-foot-1 Hollon was a candidate for a breakout season after returning in 2016. Last season with the Vancouver Canadians and Lansing Lugnuts, Hollon pitched 58.2 innings with a 3.38 ERA, striking out 45 with 22 walks.
This represents a recurring off-field issue for Hollon, however, and he will now be out of action for the majority of the 2016 season.
Entering the year, Hollon was ranked as Jays Journal’s number 10 prospect. In early 2014, Hollon underwent Tommy John surgery.
His suspension will begin immediately.
