Ryan Hissey 21-yrs-old

Hissey was a pleasant surprise for the C’s, being drafted in the 14th rd of the ’15 draft and winning the team MVP. Ryan played 3 games in the GCL to start his career, before heading to Vancouver where he played 34 games behind the plate.

Hissey allowed 4PB, 40SB, 32CS%, and .993Fld% as an everyday catcher. He hit .269, 11 doubles, triple, HR, 16RBI, 18BB, and 41K in 43 games with the C’s.

Josh Reavis 24-yrs-old

A 38th round  in the ‘15 draft, Josh catch 9 games with Bluefield before moving up to back up Hissey in Vancouver for 9 more games. Combined Reavis allowed 6PB, 18SB, and 33CS%, with .982Fld%.

Josh swung the bat well in his limited playing time hitting .302 with 3RBI, 5BB, and 8K with Vancouver.

    Andres Sotillo 21-yrs-old

    Sotillo has caught 90 games since 2012, finally making it to Bluefield where he started 24 games behind the plate. He allowed 7 PB, 16SB and 27CS%, and .981Fld%.

    Sotillo hit .250 with a double, 2 triples, 2HR, 13RBI, 9BB, and 16K in 72 At-bats.

    Launching pad- Off to Vancouver Sotillo goes where he should assume the starting role until after the draft, then it is all dependent on his development.

    Matt Morgan 19-yrs-old

    Drafted in the 4th rd of the ’14 draft, Morgan was expected to be a an average hitter with all the tools to remain behind the plate. So far that scouting reports is bang on.

    Matt catch 35 games, allowing 21PB, 23SB, 36CS%, and .985Fld%, but he continues to struggle with the bat. He hit .185, with 2 HR, 11BB, and 52K in 119AB.
