Yes, the Blue Jays are down 0-2 in the ALCS, but they are not out of it. We discuss how they can get back into it. We started this week’s chat with Dave. We wanted to get a view from the other side of the field. We asked him his thoughts on the ALDS for both of these teams. The royals pulled off a pretty gutsy win against the Houston Astros in their series to advance. As well, we asked him if he was watching the crazy 7th inning from the Rangers/ Blue Jays series. Of course, we had to find out what he thought about the Jose Bautista bat flip.

We asked Dave about Johnny Cueto and whether he’s been worth the trade. We also had to know about the young flamethrower, Kelvin Herrera. In Game 1, he came in and mowed down the Blue Jays: 9 pitches, 9 strikes, 3 outs. We also wanted to hear the other side of the supposed “bad blood” between these two teams that started back at the beginning of August. Finally, we wanted to know what he thinks the Blue Jays have to do to beat the Royals in this series.

Once we were done being polite to our guest who is rooting for the competition, we got down to business. This series is not over. Being down 2 games in a best of seven series is not good. We’re to trying to pull the wool over anyone’s eyes. But if you think the Blue Jays can’t come back in this series, you haven’t been paying attention. This is the same club was down 8 games in the division. They came back to win it by 6. This is the same club that was 50-51 and turned their season into a battle for top record in the AL. This is the same team that was down 0-2 in a best of 5 series against the Rangers and stormed back. That’s right. This 2015 season has been all about come backs.

And, that is what they’re going to need. To come back. If any team can do it, it is the Blue Jays. Does that mean they will? Who knows. We can’t know the future. But, we discuss some things that have to happen for them to have a chance. We look at some guys who need to step up. Things have to go very right for this club, there is no denying that.
