Dunedin Blue Jays vs Clearwater Threshers (Loss 2-6)
Yet another rough game for the organizations pitching left the D-Jays with a loss. Derek Blacksher and the D-Jays got off on the wrong foot by allowing 2 runs in the first inning. The slow bleed out of the pitching and defense would lead to the loss. Blacksher would give up 2 earned runs and surrender 2 un-earned runs also through his 5 innings of work. He was able to strike out 6 through his work however and only walk 1. Griffin Murphy came on and would surrender 2 runs in the 8th to give the Threshers a big lead late. Anthony Alford remains hot as he hit his 2nd home run of the season in this one. Derrick Loveless also collected a RBI single. There was just not enough offense to come back in this one though. The D-Jays only collected 6 hits but were able to walk 3 times in this one.
Line of the game
Anthony Alford 1-4 with a home run
