New Hampshire Fisher Cats vs Erie Sea Wolves (Win 8-3)

Cats power pushes them to a win in this one.  Austin Bibens-Dirkx got the Fisher Cats off to a great start as he did not give up a run until the 3rd inning.  This allowed the Cats bats to get them off to an early lead.  Bibens-Dirkx would pitch an incredible game through his 7 innings of work.  Bibens-Dirkx would strike out 7 in the 7 innings while only allowing a walk and 6 hits.  John Anderson would come on for the remainder of the game and allow 2 runs in the 8th after he got off to a rocky start.  He would settle down and keep the score at 8-3 to close out the score book.

On offense the Cats pounced on Erie pitching.  Ryan Schimpf got the party started with a solo jack in the 2nd inning.  In the 3rd the Cats would strike with a string of singles that would lead to 2 runs.  Jorge Flores, Roemon Fields, and Dwight Smith Jr. singled to collected the first of the 2 runs and then a Kevin Nolan fielders choice plated Fields.  The flood gates would swing wide open in the 5th after Schimpf lead off with a single.  K.C. Hobson smashed a home run to right center to get the inning off to a great start.  A single by Flores scored 2 and a sac fly by Nolan crossed another runner to make it a 5 run inning for the Cats.  The offense was clicking for the Cats in the win and the solid pitching by Dirkx brought it all together in the win.,
