Lansing Lugnuts vs Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (Win 2-1)

More from Toronto Blue Jays Prospects

The story of the night was the amazing performance of Clinton Hollon.  Hollon allowed the first batter he faced to reach base and then locked.  He would walk 2 hitters in the first but he did not allow another hit for the remainder of his outing.  He threw 7 innings of one hit ball and would sit down the last 19 batters that he faced.  Colton Turner almost let things slip away in the 9th as he allowed a run.  Carlos Ramirez would come on to record the 1 out save to preserve the win for Hollon’s incredible outing.

Just enough offense surfaced to give Hollon the win for the Lugnuts.  Small ball antics would prove to be the difference in this game.  Sacrifice flies by Dawel Lugo and Chris Carlson scored the 2 Lugnut runs.  D.J. Davis set up on of those sacrifice flies by scorching a triple.   Davis has now been on base in 18 straight games.  Dawel Lugo also collected a triple in the 5th inning.

Line of the game

Clinton Hollon 7 innings, 1 hit, 2 walks, 0 runs, and 2 strike outs
