Game Notes:

  • R.A. Dickey pitched fairly well despite being factored into a no decision. His 3-10 record remained the same despite another Quality Start.
  • Kevin Pillar picked up another defensive assist. At the time it saved a run that would be tied up the game. It was also his 9th of the season.
  • Russell Martin caught another would be base stealer today. It was the 22nd of the season for Martin.
  • Jose Bautista smashed his 18th home run of the season. It was also his 61s RBI on the season.

Grades:

The offense was almost none existent today. Almost. They did muster 6 hits. Jose Bautista smashed a solo home run. Jose Reyes picked up another multi-hit games. Kevin Pillar, Edwin Encarnacion, and Devon Travis all had doubles. They all couldn`t put up more than 2 runs though. It is hard to pick up wins in the AL East with only 2 runs in a game.. Game Ball. Jose Bautista. OFFENSE . D

R.A. Dickey. STARTING PITCHER. B-. Dickey seems to be unable to even buy wins this year. He left the game with a 2-1 lead but still could not get his 4th win. His knuckle was mostly dancing today. He have up only a single walk while going 6 innings. His final line was 6 IP, 1 ER, 1 BB, 4 H, and 4 K..

D. The bullpen was needed to try and pick up 3 innings of work. Aaron Loup entered the game with the lead. Both Loup and Ryan Tepera gave up a run each. The only reliever to not give up a run was Brett Cecil. They all combined for 3 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, and 2 K.. Game Ball. Brett Cecil. BULLPEN
