The Jays system went 1 and 3 yesterday, with a couple blow out losses.

Buffalo Bisons (17-16, 3rd)

The Bisons lost 1-0 in a pitching dual between Durham’s Matt Buschmann and Eric Elliott’s Felix Doubront. The loss prevented the Herd from completing the series sweep, which would’ve been nice since Durham swept them earlier this month.

Doubront, making his season début, was nearly perfect in the start. He allowed one hit and one walk, while striking out 3. He was limited to 75 pitches and 41 of those went for strikes.

Rob Rasmussen (L 1-1, 3.14 ERA) took the loss. He allowed the games only run in the 6th inning. He gave up a Taylor Motter single, who would steal 2nd and third before being driven in on a Mikie Mahtook ground ball.

Chad Jenkins and Bobby Korecky pitched the final three frames and only allowed one base runner, a Chad Jenkins walk.

Chris Dickerson and Brad Glenn had multi-hit games, while Andy Burns, Matt Hague and A.J. Jimenez each chipped in with hits of their own. Dickerson and Jimenez hit the 3rd doubles of the year.

Andy Burns has looked like a completely different player since showing up in Buffalo. He went 1-for-2, but walked twice. He has 4 walks and 8 strike out in his last 10 games.
