MVB

Now many of you may think that who ever hits the most home runs would/should be considered the Most Valuable Bat, but I disagree. The MVB is a guy that shows consistency, extra base power, solid OPS and OBP, and the ability to drive in important runs.

One could make an argument that Melky Cabrera wielded the Most Valuable Bat for the Jays in 2014. He was in the top five of almost every offensive category and was the Jays most consistent hitter all year. This year John Gibbons will have more offensive weapons to play with. The lineup possesses a nice blend of power and patience. The kind of blend that will likely see the opposing pitchers shaking their heads and hitting the shower earlier than in years past.
