Lane Thomas has great day at the plate going 5 for 7 and two RBI, Kevin Pillar and Ryan Goins propel the Bisons to within a game and half of the wild card, Kendall Graveman keeps the ball on the ground, Andy Burns breaks up a no-no, and the C’s continue to run wild on the base paths.
Buffalo Bisons (72-61)
Bisons win 15-2 and are a single GB from the wildcard. Kevin Pillar (10) and Matt Hague (15) hit home runs, while Ryan Goins supplied both offence (3 doubles) and defence (see below).
This was truly a team effort with 6 players collecting at least one RBI, Pillar had 5, and just one player unable to collect a hit. Kendall Graveman (2-2) continues he strong showing by throwing 92 pitches over 7 innings and striking out one, with no walks, and getting 14 ground ball outs.

Portland’s Brian Johnson (23) (10-2, 1.83ERA) has been having a great season for the Sea Dogs and has pitched 3 one hitters in his past 5 starts, so it is no surprise that NH feel victim in this one. He struck out 10 and the bull pen struck out another 5 for 15K’s.
