Triple-A: Buffalo Bisons (58-55)
In a rain-shortened affair, the Bisons lost 2-1. Andy LaRoche‘s solo run was the lone run to cross the plate while Kendall Graveman was impressive in his first Triple-A start. Graveman, who started the season in Low-A Lansing, pitched six strong innings and allowed only two earned runs off eight hits and no walks. Kyle Drabek was on the mound when the game was called in the eighth inning.

Dalton Pompey returned to the Fisher Cats and had two hits including a double with a walk and stolen base. Jon Berti added three hits and two RBIs while one of Andy Burns‘ two hits cleared the fence for a home run. However Taylor Cole struggled with fastball command in his first Double-A start and allowed seven earned runs off eight hits and three walks. Outfielder Matt Newman finished the game for the Fisher Cats and according to Jay Blue, who was at the game, was New Hampshire’s second best pitcher of the evening. The ‘Cats lost 14-3.

Chris Carlson had two doubles while Ryan McBroom walked with the bases loaded to help score the winning run. Ryan Borucki was spectacular with seven strikeouts over five innings and allowed just two hits.
