Toronto Blue Jays Minor League Recap: Trade Deadline Edition

Well the non-waiver trade deadline has come and gone. Our minor league system is still in tact, thankfully. Apparently Alex Anthopoulos doesn’t want to trade the future for the present and other GM’s don’t value our prospects very highly. Well the other GM’s were right on this day because the system went 2-6, with couple of the games resulting in a blow out.

Buffalo Bisons (57-54)

Bisons loss 6-4. The Bisons had played well over their past 10 games going 7-3 and sit 5.0GB, but they were undone by sloppy defence. Kevin Nolan had a terrible game in the field with 3 errors and Ryan Schimpf got into the act with his 4th error of the season. Kyle Drabek got roughed up for 3 runs and was only able to retire a single batter. Kevin Pillar hit a home run, stole a base and drove in 2 runs.
