Liam Hendriks was once a highly regarded prospect with the Minnesota Twins between 2010 and 2011, but Liam struggled with the Twins when called to the majors. Hendriks has made 3 starts in 2014 for the Toronto Blue Jays; Unfortunately, he was once again has been unable to carry the success he’s had in Triple-A with him to the major league level. At 25, Hendriks still has time to stick as a 5th starter with a major league team and carve out a major league career.

Bobby Korecky has been a valuable RP in the Toronto Blue Jays minor league system since 2011. Korecky has enjoyed a lights out season for the Buffalo Bison in 2014, which has led to several call-ups to Toronto. Like Hendriks, Korecky was unable to find the same success with Toronto as he’s had with the Bisons.

Whether or not either pitcher makes another trip back up the QEW again this summer, their performance in Triple-A this season should be applauded.

Dan Johnson was also named to the Triple-A All-Star Game after leading the International League with 17 home runs during the first half. However he won’t be eligible to play as he’s currently cashing in big league paychecks on the Blue Jays active roster.
