Buffalo Bisons (45-41)

The Bisons lose 4-1. Esmil Rogers provided the Bisons with a quality start but the Bison hitters couldn’t solve Chris Leroux. Leroux only allowed one hit and struck out 4. Ryan Goins had 2-hits, with A.J. Jimenez accounting for the Bisons only other hit.

Dunedin Blue Jays (51-32)

The D-Jays win big 14-6. They scored 4 in the 1st, 5th, and 6th innings. All starters registered at least one hit, with Marcus Knecht collected a pair of doubles and a single. Nick Baligod had a big day with his 4th home run and 4-RBI and he added a stolen base, but I give the player of the game to Kevin Patterson. Patterson went 2/2 with 2 runs, and 3 walks.

Noteworthy: Convert from SS to OF then converted to a RP Justin Jackson earned his first save of his minor league career.

Lansing Lugnuts (40-43)

The Lugnuts win 9-8. The Lugnuts had a 5-run 2nd to take the lead 6-3, but West Michigan Whitecaps scored one in the 3rd and 3 in the 5th to take a 7-6 lead. The Lugnuts were able to claw their way back with one in the 7th and two in the 8th for a 9-7 lead. The Whitecaps scored one in the bottom of the 9th but couldn’t come back as Griffin Murphy shut the door for his 16th save.

All starters but David Harris registered a hit. 5 starters collected 2 hits. Matt Dean, and D.J. Davis extended their hit streaks to 6. Dean had his second 2-hit game and added his 4th home run.

The C’s won 6-4. Roemon Fields had a big day going 4/5 and was a home run shy of hitting for the cycle. Jairo Labourt didn’t pitch great but he also didn’t pitch poorly…..he lasted 4 and third, gave up 5 hits and a run while striking out 5 and walking two.

The C’s played sloppy D commiting 4 errors….lucky to get the win.
