Toronto Blue Jays Minor League Recap: Dunedin sweeps DoubleHeader

Buffalo Bisons (25-20)

The Bisons were shut-out by veteran Chien-Ming Wang 6-0. Chad Jenkins was saddled with the loss and Ryan Rowland-Smith gave up a home run in the 6th. Neil Wagner pitched an almost perfect 9th inning with 2K and BB, but it doesn’t matter how well you pitch or how poor you pitch if your offence can’t score.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats (16-32)

So if anyone is waiting for Aaron Sanchez to be called-up to Toronto and become the Ace of the staff….they may want to be very patient. Aaron Sanchez was absolutely destroyed. He was not able to get a single out, he walked 4, and allowed 6 run (3ER). I might be over reacting just a little bit, since Sanchez has been pretty consistent with most of his starts lasting 5.0+. Not sure why Sanchez was lifted, I would have left him in there. Clearly Sanchez didn’t have control, but he will have to learn how to make adjustments and I would rather he do it in a AA-game than in the Majors. Portland Sea Dogs took this one easily, 18-0, as the Lugnuts struggles continue.
