Kyle Drabek was impressive in the win. Drabek went 6 strong innings striking out 7 and…wait for it…..not issuing a walk.
Kevin Pillar continues to be hot and lead the offence hitting his first home run of the year, 2 doubles, and driving in 2. Pillar wasn’t along in snapping the Bisons 4 game losing streak. Matt Tuiasosopo hit a homerun, Dan Johnson drove in a pair with his 7th double, and Darin Mastroianni got on base 3 times.

The Fisher Cats won their 15th game and snapped a 3 game losing streak. They topped first pace Portland, 6-5, and have a chance to split the 4-game series with a win today. Casey Janssen started the game and pitched 1 inning of hitless ball. Janssen throw 11 of his 16 pitches for strikes and induced 2 ground balls. Scott Copeland has a so-so outing going 5.2IP and allowing 4 run while collecting 5K.
Kevin Nolan, who has been struggling since his return from Buffalo, went 2-5 with 2 2B and 2 RBI. The Fisher Cats hit 6 2B in the win.

Daniel Norris didn’t get the win but continues to pitch well this season. He is 3-0, 0.81ERA, 33IP, 25H, 10BB, 42K in 7 games…does anyone else smell a call up to New Hampshire?
The D-Jays got multi-hit nights from Dwight Smith Jr., Dalton Pompey, Derrick Chung, Gustavo Pierre, and Jorge Flores as they churned out 14 hits. Pompey hit his 2nd round tripper and swiped his 16th and 17th bases to remain in tie first the league lead. Gustavo Pierre has been heating in recent days with hits in 7 of his last 8 games, including 4 extra base hits. Speaking of heating up, have you been keeping an eye on Derrick Chung? Chung now has 13 hits in the last 10 games and is hitting .333/.366/.436 during that streak. What is equally impressive is that he has only struck out 10 times all year and walked 9 times.
