Toronto Blue Jays – Draftboard Update – 26/09

I got home way too hammered last night to even type, let alone knock out a semi-coherent post on the Blue Jays potential draft position in 2014.

Instead of skipping it, as per my usual routine when too drunk to write, I’m doing it a day late.  As Alex Ferguson once, famously,

said, ‘it’s squeaky bum time’.

With three games left in the season for all of our combatants we can probably start making predictions as to exactly where the Jays will end up.  Speaking of which, by pulling a win out in the 11th last night, the Padres have taken themselves out of the running.  Well done San Diego!

The sched, with a few random comments:

6: Seattle – Home to Oakland.  King Felix is going for the last time of the season.  Will that be enough?

7: Colorado – Away to the Dodgers and Clayton Kershaw….they’re dead

8: Toronto – Home to Tampa Bay who are still looking to clinch a wild card berth.  They’ll win

9: Philadelphia – Away to Atlanta, who are better, but Cliff Lee is pitching…..so never know?

10: Milwaukee – Away to the Mets.  I reckon the Brewers need to win at least one from the Mets to finish ‘ahead’ of the Jays

12: New York – Home to Brewers.  A game ahead of the Jays with the tiebreaker, one win in this series gets it done.

13: San Francisco – Home to Padres. 2 games ahead with tiebreaker, one win literally gets it done.
