Vancouver Canadians (2-1)
September 9 Game:
The Vancouver Canadians completed their three-peat of the Northwest League championship in a 5-0 victory over the Boise Hawks on Monday night. The club was led by Tom Robson who was absolutely dominant, pitching six and a third innings and giving up just three hits with two strikeouts and getting ten groundball outs. Alonzo Gonzalez kept Boise off the board through the eighth and closer Chuck Ghysels polished them off with a 1-2-3 ninth. L.B. Dantzler opened the scoring in the third with a two-RBI double that brought home Andy Fermin and Mitch Nay while Peterborough-born catcher Michael Reeves drove in Dawel Lugo with a double in the eighth to score the third run. With the game in the waning stages, Ian Parmley added to the total with another two-run double cashing in Reeves and Justin Atkinson. Nay continued to be an important contributor with a pair of hits.
