Vancouver Canadians Lose Finals Opener: September 6 Minor League Report

Vancouver Canadians (2-1)

September 6 Game:

Two former Bluefield Blue Jays couldn’t get the job done on the mound as the Vancouver Canadians dropped the first game of the Northwest League finals to the Boise Hawks 5-0. Jairo Labourt got the start and, despite striking out ten (with no walks allowed), he gave up three runs on four hits over five and two-thirds innings. Brady Dragmire, also just called up, got two outs and gave up a home run, surrendering two more runs. The offense only had six hits against the Hawks (and struck out eleven times) with Brenden Kalfus getting two hits and Mitch Nay going one for four with a double.
