Game Thread: Braves (30-20) @ Blue Jays (22-29)

It’s a rare 12:37 start time for the second game of a 4 game set (two in Toronto, two in Atlanta) for the Braves and Blue Jays. After Mark Buehrle continued his string of modestly successful starts, and the Blue Jays offense kept on keeping on, the Blue Jays look to continue their winning ways in today’s getaway game.

While the 12:37 start time is awesome for those of us that could manage to get out of work on this dreary Tuesday in Toronto, those of us that are stuck in the office may want to revisit Michael M. Beraskow’s piece “A Guide to Watching Afternoon Baseball at Work”. If you’re not watching Colby Rasmus will be disappointed, and you don’t want to see Colby disappointed (although maybe you do that picture to the right is gold).I know I’ll have my Rogers On Demand account streaming on the background of my computer this afternoon (see ya tomorrow productivity), so join me in the comments with your thoughts, feeling, and wit. You can also hit me up on Twitter, and I’ll guarantee a response mainly because I don’t have very many followers.

News & Notes

In Buffalo’s 11-7 loss, Ricky Romero (0-1, 13.85)0.2IP/5H/8R/3BB/0K/1HR, 32 pitches, 13 strikes …

You’ve most certainly heard of Ricky Romero‘s struggles yesterday…but still worth mentioning 🙁

Good and bad news on the Lawrie front I suppose. Many wanted his sat down for a few games anyways. Hopefully this gives him time to really hit the film room and figure out how to hit a breaking pitch or something.
