In his latest effort, A.A. has purchased the contract of left-hander Tony Davis from the Quebec Capitales of the Can-Am Association.
The 24-year-old Davis was a 12th round pick of the Minnesota Twins in 2009 and spent four seasons in their system, topping out at Double-A New Britain before moving on to independent ball. In four seasons in the minors and independent baseball, Davis holds an 11-7 record with a 3.58 ERA and a 7.8 K/9 ratio. He has made 112 appearances, all in relief.
Davis will likely start 2013 where he left off, at Double-A. He will provide the Blue Jays with some much needed depth as a left-handed reliever.
