MLB Pipeline has recently released its final prospect rankings for the 2026 season, and the Toronto Blue Jays have reason to feel good about the state of their farm system heading into the offseason. Two of the organization’s top young talents cracked the final Top 100 list, giving the Blue Jays another strong indication that their prospect pipeline is trending in the right direction.

Firmly sitting at No. 24 is the organization’s top prospect, infielder JoJo Parker, while breakout right-hander Nolan Perry rounds out the Toronto representation at No. 90. Both players took significant steps forward in 2026, and their appearances on the list could be a sign of even bigger things to come.

JoJo Parker’s breakout season puts him firmly among baseball’s best prospects

Following the graduation of Trey Yesavage to the majors, Parker has pretty much taken hold of the top spot among prospects in the Blue Jays organization. Despite playing in his first year of professional baseball, the 20-year-old further justified his status with a strong 2026 minor league campaign.

He finished the year with the Blue Jays’ High-A affiliate, Vancouver Canadians after beginning the season with Single-A Dunedin. Parker compiled a .270 batting average and .860 OPS, with 85 runs scored, 30 doubles, four triples, 13 home runs and 73 RBIs. He also tallied 80 walks and 117 strikeouts in 108 total games played between the two minor league levels.

More impressively, it wasn’t just his bat that was doing the talking as he also put his speed on full display with 28 steals in 33 attempts. Showing the complete package in his arsenal, Parker also helped lead the Canadians to a 2026 High-A Northwest League Championship.

With both Bo Bichette departing in free agency and Arjun Nimmala now in the LA Angels organization after a deadline day trade, Parker is expected to be the next big homegrown star infielder for the Blue Jays and could find his way to the majors sooner than expected.

Nolan Perry went from Tommy John recovery to one of the Blue Jays’ biggest surprises

As for Perry, he was coming off a Tommy John surgery that wiped out his 2025 season. The 23-year-old right-hander bounced back with his best professional season to date. Perry amassed a 3-4 record with a 2.50 ERA and 1.02 WHIP, giving up just 23 earned runs with 32 walks and 117 strikeouts in 82.2 total innings over 20 starts across three minor league levels with the Blue Jays. For good measure, he was also perfect in the field with a 1.000 fielding percentage over 21 games.

With such a strong performance, Perry was recognized for his excellence by being named the Blue Jays’ breakout prospect of the year by MLB Pipeline. He was also named a finalist for the 2026 Minor League Breakout Player of the Year Award as well. That award may have ended up going to Atlanta Braves prospect Eric Hartman, but that doesn’t take anything away from the fact that Perry showed confidently that he is one step closer to reaching his goal of making the big leagues.

As a result, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him crack the MLB Top 50 prospects next season and perhaps even make his major league debut with the Blue Jays at some point in 2027 if all goes well.
