Happy Holidays from Jays Journal!

Eventually, even baseball news needs to take a back seat. Even though it seems appropriate to keep one’s self warm by the hot stove, the holiday times are meant for spending time with friends and family, or as Clark W. Griswold put it, “the warm embrace of kith and kin.”

Oh, and the presents are really nice too!

So in the spirit of the holidays, and on behalf of myself and the rest of the team here at Jays Journal, we would like to wish you and yours a Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, a Happy Festivus, a Habari Gani, and much more, depending on your particular affiliation or lack thereof. It’s been a great year and we are all very thankful for the gift you give us, the gift of your readership!

More from Jays Journal

In the spirit of the holidays, and as a way to test out that new-fangled device you got under the tree or the menorah, we thought we would ask each of you break the no electronics on Christmas rule to tell us what Blue Jays related items you received this holiday season.

Did you get yourself a new Josh Donaldson or Russell Martin in preparation for the new season?

Perhaps an updated Marcus Stroman uniform with that shiny new number 6 on the back?

Maybe a nice new bobble head or autographed baseball/bat for your collection?

How about a nice knit cap for the those Toronto winters?

Ornaments, baseball cards, flags, anything fun?

Did you get everything you wanted in relation to the Blue Jays?

Everyone enjoy their holiday and we’ll see you all again on the 26th! Oh, and don’t forget to download the FanSided App (iTunes, Google Play) so those devices are all up to date.
