Minor League Recap: Buffalo, Dunedin lose; Vancouver fall in the 12th

Buffalo Bisons

Despite getting a total of 10 hits including two homeruns from Dan Johnson, the Buffalo Bisons fall in an 8-4 game against the Columbus Clippers. Colby Rasmus continued his rehab on Monday night as he bat lead-off as the DH. Rasmus struck out three times going 0-4 on the night. Deck McGuire got roughed up early as he only lasted 3.1 innings and allowed 6 runs (5 earned) in the lost.

Dunedin Blue Jays

It was a hard lost for the Dunedin Blue Jays on Monday as they fall to the Brevard County Manatees 1-0 after a wild pitch in the first inning allowed the only run of the ball game to score. The Blue Jays out hit the Manatees 7-4 but went 0/7 with RISP. Starter Kendall Graveman allowed only two hits in 6.1 innings, showing dominance in the lost.

Vancouver Canadians

After leading 8-1 going into the bottom of the 7th inning the Vancouver Canadians gave up six runs. Then after scoring a run in the top of the 8th the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes tied the game in the bottom half of the inning only to win the game in the 12th. Despite the 10-9 score not one homerun was hit in the ball game. Jonathan Davis lead the way with 4 RBI’s and Franklin Barreto collected 4 hits on the night. Zak Wasilewski was solid in 5 inning surrendering one a single run. Mark Biggs reversed those numbers by giving up 5 runs in only an inning of work.
