Meaning they are one win or one Rays loss away from winning the American League East.

And guess what team stands in the way of the Red Sox next win.

That means unless the Jays sweep the Red Sox while the Rays sweep the Orioles, John Farrell’s going to be popping his AL East title champagne while the Blue Jays are in Boston.

How fitting!

The way that the seasons gone for the Jays the best bet would be that the Red Sox are going to clinch the division against the Jays before the Rays lose a game. And if you have the stomach to watch you’re going to see John Farrell celebrating on the field while the Jays just have to look on.
