Toronto Blue Jays – Draftboard Update

The Blue Jays recent hot streak, yes, in Jays land we count two wins as hot, has done no favours for the draft position.  In

better news, after requesting both a double and walk from recent call-up Ryan Goins, he went out and nailed both on Wednesday.  Hey, Ryan, thanks for listening.

Both the Angels and Mets (although New York beat the Phillies who are thereabouts as well) helped the cause today, winning one of their games in hand to push them both a full game behind the Jays on our board.

The Brewers and Mariners followed suit, with the M’s actually leaping the Blue Jays into ninth and Milwaukee moved to within half a game.

Toronto opens up a three game set at home versus the Royals on Friday.  Kansas City have to be considered done in the wild card race but have been playing decent ball of late, winning four on the trot.  The season series stands at 2-1 for the Jays, although that series was played back in April, so not much we can read into that.

But the return of Emilio Bonifacio??!  yay.

The draft standings:

Two picks in the top eleven will still work, but I’m kinda hoping for a top five pick as well as eleven.

You’ll notice I’ve changed the format somewhat, is only because I want to try and update after the night’s schedule is done (I live on the West Coast) while baseball reference is a bit lazy, only doing it next day.
