The Blue Jays have lost five of their last six games and are on the verge of getting swept by the Baltimore Orioles.

They lost in extra innings in the second game of the series and now they'll need to pull a victory out today if they want any amount of momentum heading into their third straight series against an AL East opponent.

Let's dive into the odds for today's game and then I'll give you my best bet.

Orioles vs. Blue Jays prediction and pick

The Blue Jays get their ace when they need him the most. Kevin Gausman will take the mound for Toronto today, and he has been stellar this season despite a 2-3 record.

His 3.27 ERA also doesn't accurately reflect his level of play. His 2.41 FIP (Field Independent Pitching) is a better indication of how well he has played. It's also worth noting that the Orioles' OPS this month drops from .753 to .737 when facing right-handed pitchers.

Dean Kremer gets the start for the O's, and his numbers have been quite the opposite of Gausman. He has a near flawless 5-1 record, but his 4.94 ERA doesn't support it. His ERA isn't a fluke either, as he also supports a 4.93 FIP and a 1.415 WHIP.

I think the Jays offense will get to Kremer and we'll see his record start to regress to where it should be given his metrics.
