The Toronto Blue Jays were on the wrong side of an 11-0 loss to start its early week series against the Miami Marlins, but will look to get back on track against an overrated pitcher.

Eury Perez starts for the Marlins, who has looked elite in seven starts, but his results don't match the process that are screaming some regression on Tuesday and moving forward. The Blue Jays offense is an elite lineup and will try to tag Perez in a bounce back situation after losing big on Tuesday.

Here are the odds for Tuesday, can Toronto get back on track?

Blue Jays vs. Marlins prediction and pick

Perez's numbers are smoke and mirrors. The 1.80 ERA looks strong on the surface, but his xERA is far higher at 3.79 as he has gotten by by stranding over 92% of batters on base. However, he will face a Blue Jays lineup that is fantastic at putting the ball in play and generating contact, sixth in batting average and posting the fourth lowest strikeout rate.

If Perez isn't going to generate swing and misses, he's prone to allow some runs against this Blue Jays lineup. The Marlins starter is allowing a batting average of .227 on balls in play which is unsustainable moving forward, and will come back to Earth against this Blue Jays lineup.

After getting shutout on Monday, I'll back the Blue Jays lineup to bounce back in a big way on Tuesday by hadning Perez some much needed regression.
