New Hampshire Fisher Cats vs Richmond Flying Squirrels (Loss 1-4)

John Anderson started off the game in beautiful fashion.  Pitched a solid 6.2 innings to only be out done by allowing a home run to Myles Schroder that squeaked around the foul pole.  The ensuing arguments about the “home run” would lead to ejections for the Fisher Cats.  This would be the play that turned a pitchers duel into a Fisher Cat loss as the play completely deflated the team.  Scott Barnes came on to finish the but would allow a run in the 8th to make it a 1-4 game.

Dalton Pompey batted lead off after joining the Fisher Cats over the weekend.  He went 1-4 with 2 strikes outs.  Melky Mesa recorded 2 hits and an RBI.  Cole Garner was the biggest stand out as he went 3-4 with a double.  The entire Fisher Cats lineup struggles Sunday.  The failed to put the bat on the ball in most cases as the Squirrels pitching recorded 14 strikeouts.  Ronald Torreyes was the only Cat to not record a strike out.  It is really hard to win games when the ball never makes it into play.

Line of the night

Melky Mesa 2-4 with an RBI and 2 strikeout.

I was tempted to leave this blank because of all the strikeouts
