Buffalo Bisons (15-9, 1st)

Off Day.

A lot has happen in Bison Country this week. Players up and Players down. A team that was once filled with veterans and career minor leaguers, now is being to fill up with the Blue Jays Top Prospects.

Time will tell where these talented young men will land in 2015, but one thing is for sure….the Bisons just got a lot more interesting.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats (13-12, 4th)

After an impressive 3-game sweep of the New York Yankees Trenton Thunder the New Hampshire Fisher Cats have lost 3 of 4 in May. The Fisher Cats dropped game one of a 3-game set against Reading, 5-1.

Dwight Smith Jr. got the Fisher Cats on the board in the first with a solo home run, his 3rd. That was all the offence that New Hampshire could muster off Fightin Phils Aaron Nola (W 3-2, 2.27 ERA). Dwight has hit in every game this year, except two. He has failed to reach base only once, which was the third game of the year.

More from Toronto Blue Jays Prospects

On the mound the inspirational John Anderson (1-2, 4.62 ERA) took the lost after struggling in the 5th. Anderson appeared to cruising through the first 4 inning with only 4 batter to reaching base, but then the wheels fell off in the 5th. Former Blue Jays farmhand Gustavo Pierre got the inning going with a single and would later score the on KC Serna‘s second home run, a grand slam, to put the Phil’s up 4-1. They would add one more off Anderson as they had a bat around inning off the 26 year-old left-hander.

Scott Barnes and Tiago Da Silva pitched the final 3 innings, allowing 3 hits but they stopped the bleeding.
