Dunedin Blue Jays @ Clearwater Threshers (8-0 Win)
Down in Dunedin the Jays crushed the Threshers. Jayson Aquino and the Jays that they did not need that much run support however. Aquino was stellar and only allowed 6 hits over 6 innings. He was able to strikeout 2 and only walk one batter. The rest of the pitchers followed Aquino’s example and kept rolling. Brady Dragmire and Chad Girodo did not allow a run in the final 3 innings to complete the shut out.
Offensively Derrick Loveless proved that fans still dig the long ball and popped his 2nd home run of the year. The 3 run blast would provide the icing on the cake in the 7th inning. Roemon Fields collected 3 hits in 5 at bats. He was able to score twice and recorded his 11th stolen base of the season.
Coming up for the Dunedin Jays is a drive to Tampa to take on the Yankees. Pitchers are yet to be determined.
