Thanks for the comment Blake. I wouldn't say he was obligated to get himself thrown out of the game, but like I said in the article, it's easy to understand why Lawrie lost his cool. Miller was just awful behind the plate the entire night, but especially so regarding the final three pitches of the Lawrie at-bat.

I appreciate your views regarding the helmet.

That said, the batter was obligated to get himself thrown out of the game.

You cannot take that from an umpire and do nothing.

I should of sounded out the words and been more clear for you but one thing is for certain you're out in left field and to tell me to spend 5min to check facts yet you have no idea how the new cba has effected arb and compensation. lol Seriously?

I shouldnt have said Hech is destroying Vegas without being clear that I had meant for him and it being Vegas. ie grain of salt. He is always going to be poor with the bat but he is sporting an 800ops, 310ba, 360 obp.atm.

I was however wrong on Escobars deal I thought the contract was 2 and 3 but that's besides the point and so is that they are options. At 5mil per they are pretty much guaranteed and for a top 5-10 SS / 2b its a steal.

As far as KJ he is not excepting arb, he wants a long term deal, obviously. While he didn't get it last season there is a better chance because of the lack of 2b next off season he gets it, also if he continues his production a near certainty. The Jays will not receive compensation. The Jays are not going to part with Hech or Escobar, not with this ownership group. Thats just the sad reality of it.

For what it's worth the Braves traded Escobar more for his clubhouse issues than his on field performance. The poor play at the time just made pulling the trigger easier.

He may not be the same Escobar from years past, but hes putting up half decent numbers. If you called up Adeiny, what are you going to do with Escobar? Sit him? I don't think so. Johnson is playing too well at 2B to move him over. I think since John Farrel's decision to switch Kelly and Yunel in the order, you are going to see much better production from both players. Just a matter of Yunel getting his SLG% and OBP up and he should be good to go. No need to rush to drastic changes and bringing up prospects too quickly.

The only guy I don't move up and down the line with their success in the immediate past , is the catcher, who should stay at 7-9. I am not advocating changing the line up on a daily basis, but you will not be successful if your 2/3/4 hitters are batting below the Medosa Line for weeks on end.
