Jared Macdonald

I have been a Jays fan for 20+ years, and the Milwaukee Brewers are my National League team. The Rogers Centre is like my second home, as I take in at least three games per month, while throwing in at least one baseball road trip per year for good measure.

Professionally, I work in restaurant management, and I previously spent close to four years with a marketing company in Canada and the United States. As a result, I was fortunate to have many opportunities to see all levels of baseball games, and hope to eventually see games at all 30 MLB stadiums. I currently have 18 checked off that list, with a few more on their way in 2011.

Some of my favorite moments that I have been a part of in my baseball travels include being a few rows away from Mariano Rivera coming in for a save in old Yankee Stadium, seeing Barry Bonds play his first game in Pittsburgh since breaking the all-time home run record, seeing Alex Rodriguez get robbed of a grand slam via an over the wall catch at the Metrodome, and hitting all of the west coast stadiums in one road trip.

While the game of baseball is my passion (obsession), I enjoy virtually all sports, including  hockey (Montreal Canadiens and St. Louis Blues), college football and basketball (Michigan State Spartans), soccer, and volleyball.

I write about the Blue Jays because I love to, and it’s an exciting time to be a Jays fan. I encourage everyone to take a look around here at Jays Journal, and to get involved by voicing their opinions in the comments section of posts.
