Injuries Keep Piling Up

Kendrys Morales was the latest Blue Jays player to be bitten by the injury bug as the slugger felt tightness in hamstring jogging back to the dugout after his second at bat. Morales was replaced later in the game by Steve Pearce and according to manager John Gibbons will receive an MRI today to determine the extent of the injury.

The Blue Jays placed catcher Russell Martin on the DL yesterday joining a laundry list of players that includes Josh Donaldson and Troy Tulowitzki.

Encarnacion Comes Home

The long awaited return of Edwin Encarnacion to Toronto is in the books and the slugger was very well received by the home crowd. Eddie spoke about the moment through a translator acknowledging that the Blue Jays fans gained not only his respect but the respect from the other players.

We Hardly Knew You, Neil

The Blue Jays designated reliever Neil Ramirez yesterday to make room on the roster for Mike Bolsinger. Ramirez who had been just claimed off waiver from the Giants earlier last week was with the big club but never saw any game action.
