Toronto Blue Jays Minor League Recap: Daniel Norris improves to 3-0

Dalton Pompey, Rowdy Tellez, Gustavo Pierre collect hits in their first games since being promoted. Mitch Nay still looking for his first hit with the D-Jays. Daniel Norris improves to 3-0. Gose steals a 1/4 of his bases in one game.

Buffalo Bisons (70-61)

The Bisons win 5-1. Daniel Norris (3-0)continues to dominate Triple-A and is making it very hard for Alex to not add him to the 40-man roster. Daniel went 5 strong one hit, one run innings. He only threw 79 pitches and 48 of those went for strikes.

The offence came in the form of Anthony Gose and Ryan Goins. Gose stole 4 bases (16), scored 2 runs, and drove in a run. Goins went 2/4 with two doubles (17) and scored a run.

Dalton Pompey collected his first Triple-A hit, in his first triple-A game. Down side is he struck out twice.

Mitch Nay has gone hitless in his first  two games with the D-Jays.

This game was called in the 6th inning with South Bend leading 2-0. Chaz Frank had two hits, Matt Dean hit his 26th double and Derrick Loveless stole his 14th base in the loss. Jeremy Gabryszwski got shafted in this one, after allowing 2 run over 5 innings and still ended up with the loss.

Rowdy Tellez collected a hit and worked a walk in his first game with Lansing.

Boise jumped on starter Daniel Lietz early and chased him from the game after just 4 outs. The C’s bullpen held their own by not allowing a run over the next 8 innings, which allowed the C’s offence to tie the game up. Tied at 5’s going into the 13th inning the C’s Jose Fernandez (1-1) working in second inning gave up 2 runs and the C’s offence couldn’t come back in their half of the inning….C’s-5…Boise-7.

Richard Urena was hitless in his C’s debute.
