The C’s loss a back and forth game 11-7. Matthew Smoral lit up for 3 runs on 2 hits over o.2IP in his first appearance since being promoted. Tri-City was up 6-2 after six and half innings, but the C’s scored 3 in the bottom of the 7th and 2 in the bottom of the 8th to storm back 7-6. With Brett Barber on the mound to close the game out the Dust Devils wasted little time scoring 4 off  a single, 2 consecutive walks, followed by a three run single….that spelled the end for Barber and the C’s.

p.s. No word on why Max Pentecost has been MIA the past couple games or why he has only been DHing for what seems like forever. Maybe just a breather, seeing he has only been hitting singles for the past couple weeks.
