Buffalo Bisons (41-38)

Bisons win 7-1. The Bisons got an excellent pitching proformance from P.J. Walters and a big 5-run 8th inning to improve to 8-2 in the past 10 games.

Ryan Schimpf hit his 2nd Triple-A home run and Kevin Pillar must be pressing because he only had 2-hits and 3-SB. Ryan Goins continued his hot streak with 2 more hits and is 12-34 in his past 10-games, which is good for .353/.371/.412.

The Fisher Cats played a double header and won both games.

Game 1

The Fisher Cats scored one in the 5th , one in the 7th and one in the 8th and held the Rock Cats to 2 in the 4 th for a 3-2 win. Mike McDade hit his 4th HR and Derrick Chung is starting to get the hang of hitting in Double-A with 4th hit is 3 games. Chung is now .276/.300/.310 in 8 games since the promotion. Dalton Pompey made his first Double-A appearance when he came into the game as a pinch-runner.

The ever consistent Ben White was victimised by a Christian Lopes missed catch. White went 6.1IP with 3 hits.

The Lugnuts needed a big 3-run 9th inning and Griffin Murphy was able to shut the door after allowing a 9th inning homerun to make things interesting.

The C’s lost 7-6. This game started out looking like a pitching dual as the C’s held a 1-0 lead through 5 innings. That is when the bats showed up. The teams traded runs in the 6th, but then Tri-City scored 2 in the 7th, one in the 8th, and 3 in the 9th to take a 7-2 lead. The C’s went down swinging scoring 4 runs in the bottom of the 9th, but it just wasn’t enough.
