Blue Jays Minor League Recap: Better Late than Never Edition


Buffalo Bisons (21-18)

The Bisons loss 2-1 in top of the 9th. Bobby Korecky took the loss allowing his first run all year, so we can’t be too hard him. The Bisons showed great patience at the plate drawing 8 walks and striking out 2 times. Unfortunately, the Bisons were 0-9 with RISP. Mike Nickeas hit his first home run and accounted for the only run.

Ryan Schimpf hit two home runs in the a losing cause, as the Fisher Cats loss 6-5 to the 22-16 Binghamton Mets. Matt Boyd had his best start at AA with a 5.0 IP, 5H, 3R, BB, 4K line but still took the loss. Jon Berti stole his 16 base. Andy Fermin continues to swing a hot bat for the Fisher Cats with a 2-hit night and is hitting .370 over his previous 10 games.

Kendall Graveman (2-1) allowed one run over 6.0 innings as the D-Jyas won their 30th game by a score of 5-1. K.C. Hobson hit 2 doubles and drove in 3 RBI as he lead the D-Jays offensive attack. Derrick Chung had a single in the game and has now hit safely in four games…more importantly he has hit safely in 9 of his last 10 games.
