Feel free to chat among yourselves about the game, how the Blue Jays look, and how Olympic Stadium is holding up. We’ll try to add in detail of the game as things happen, keeping any late comers abreast of the details.

Here’s a topic to get everyone started for the evening:

“Should Major League Baseball bring a team to Montreal and can the city sustain a franchise this time around?”

Enjoy the game folks!

Interesting to see Lawrie where he is. I would have swapped him with Navarro between the two lefties.

    • Thomas Nelligan

Do you think that is to have a player with more speed in front of goins? To allow for bunts etc to advance the runner?

      • Michael Wray

        I sure hope not

I like Navarro’s bat control and he also switch hits so it keeps the R/L theme throughout the lineup. Brett starts mashing, move him up until then I like him 8th.

  • Kyle Franzoni

Jays make a little noise with two outs in the bottom of the first, but come up empty.

Great play by Edwin to close out the top of the inning, starting the double play.

  • Kyle Franzoni

Colby still looks like he buys his facial hair from Scott Tenorman…

  • Kyle Franzoni

WHAT A PLAY BY LAWRIE. Don’t tell me his glove is over-rated!

  • Kyle Franzoni

The Blue Jays aren’t getting very many good swings against Mejia yet, game tied at 0 after 3.

  • Kyle Franzoni

Buehrle gives up a pair, but Jose Bautista gets on back with a big fly to start the bottom of the 4th. Thing got out of here in a hurry!

  • Kyle Franzoni

What say you commenters, should Janssen have started the season on the DL? His stuff looked really flat tonight, no life.

  • Kyle Franzoni

d’Arnaud punished the Blue Jays with a home run, takes Stroman deep as kind of a thumb to the nose.

  • Kyle Franzoni

Blue Jays almost squander two free runs, but Edwin comes through to tie up the game at 4 in the seventh.

  • Kyle Franzoni

Encarnacion takes another HBP in an uncomfortable place, on the right hand. He’s staying in the game, but too close to the regular season for this stuff to happen.

  • Kyle Franzoni

Blue Jays win on a walk-off!!!! Ricardo Nanita!

  • Andrew van Laar

Looks like I missed a good game! I saw some highlights on the Jays official site and that diving play at third was out of this world! He is just so good in the hot corner.
